What is SMETA?

SMETA is an ethical audit methodology developed by SEDEX which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting responsible and ethical business practices in global supply chains. SMETA provides a standardized framework for assessing and monitoring suppliers’ social and ethical performance, helping companies identify and address issues related to labor standards, health and safety, environment, and business ethics.
